Naveen Jha Naveen Jha is the CEO of the Deshpande Foundation India, which he has been with since its inception. He pioneered the LEAD program in 2008 as he wanted to help transform the attitudes of young people, encouraging them to solve problems locally and strategically. Since then, he has remained the chief mentor of this program that is very close to his heart. As he says, ‘youth cannot say there’s a problem in society’ and not do anything; they must do more because they have the power to do so.”	Ajay Suman Shukla Ajay initiated LEAD Prayana in 2012, with a vision of a new model of leadership development for youth. Ajay’s involvement with Deshpande Foundation dates back to his participation in the Deshpande Fellowship Program (DFP), which he completed in 2008. In 2009, he took on the position as Functional Head of the LEAD program, which has allowed him to continue cultivating young and self-motivated LEADers which, he strong believes, can make lasting, positive change in society.
Geeta Hegde Geeta devotes herself wholeheartedly to creating value in her life as well as the lives of others. Her journey in LEAD dates back to when she was a student studying her Bachelors of Business Administration from Government First Grade College, Sirsi. She received the "Best LEADer" at Yuva Summit 2010 for her project where she trained people on extracting rope from waste tires to earn money. After college, she joined the LEAD team, where she is now focusing on training and student mentorship.	Amrut Patil Amrut is passionate about working with youth to empower them, incultivate self- sustainability amongst them and bring about positive change makers. He holds a bachelors degree in Commerce from Karanataka University Dharwad. He began his journey with LEAD during his college days in 2009 and completed a project on Money Handling and Fund Raising for North Karnataka flood affected areas. In 2011, he joined LEAD after completing the Social Entrepreneurship course in Deshpande Fellowship
IMG_1505.JPG Abhinandan joined the LEAD team in 2012. Prior to working in LEAD, he worked for two years in event management handling and promoting events for reputable companies. Throughout his educational and professional career, he has immersed himself in unique experiences. During his college days, he actively participated in Rangayana and other theater groups throughout Dharwad, where he directed plays for school children, high school students, and college students.	Teerthaprasada NG Teerthaprasada NG is a LEAD program associate. He received his Master’s of Social Work from Davangere University Shivagangothri, and has also completed the Deshpande Fellowship Program. He is passionate about youth empowerment and community development, and so his goal is to become a trainer in this field. He believes in the power of positive energy and self-motivation for not only helping marginalised groups of people, but also developing them into leaders for social change.
Vikram Patil Vikram is known for making others happy through his great sense of humor and helpful nature. He holds a Bachelors of Science in Computer Science from Rani Channama University, Belgaum. Vikram brings over four years of involvement in LEAD, in which he has mentored over 55 LEAD students on their projects and inspired others through his own leadership initiatives, both on campus and throughout the Chikodi area.	Absarahemed Patel Absarahemed joined LEAD as a student and his experience of two years with LEAD during that phase changed many aspects of his life. He cherishes his amazing experiences that have helped him to unleash his potentials and transform himself into a LEADer. After completing his Bachelor degree from Rani Channama University, Belgaum, Absar joined the LEAD team as an employee. He was awarded the ‘Most Active LEADer’ because of his active participation in the program at his location.
Sunil Baragundi Sunil did his PUC from 2011-2012. Following this, he participated in the Deshpande Fellowship Program in 2013, in which he learned English, communication and computer skills. After this fellowship he joined LEAD as the Office Assistant and, after 2 months, began managing the program's logistics. Sunil finds Deshpande Foundation culture amazing, and loves working in the LEAD program as it is improving his English, communication, networking and leadership skills immensely.	Sanmati B. Jakkannavar Sanmati began her journey with LEAD in the Deshpande Fellowship Program in 2013. Upon completion, she joined the LEAD team, where she holds the position of HR executive LEAD. She earned her Masters in Social Work and, during her post-graduation studies, underwent a block placement training in Bangalore where she realized the scope for her skill enhancement. Simultaneously, she was associated with Red Ribbon Club for 3 years. Her goal is to continue enhancing her skills in the H.R. sector.
Anisha Cardoza Anisha is a LEAD Program Associate, handling Dharwad and Coimbatore locations. She enjoys working with youth and engaging in learning with them. She completed her BBA at JSS Dharwad, volunteered as a National Joint Secretary in Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM) from 2008-2010, and worked with Infosys (Pune) as a Financial Analyst, under SAP, from 2011-2013. During her free time, Anisha likes to visit sick and lonely senior citizens, listen to music, and spend time with friends and pets.	Gurusiddayya Konnuramath Gurusiddayya Gurusiddayya completed Bachelors of Computer Application (BCA) from Karnataka University Dharwad, and has more than 3 years’ experience in various fields such as marketing, banking and FMCG. Currently, he is a Program Associated for LEAD, handling the Hubli-Dharwad Location. He is very happy in this field because he loves working with youth. His hobbies include creating, playing sports, travelling, and spending time with friends.
